Short Term Rehabilitation/Sub-Acute
After undergoing surgery or hospitalization for other medical conditions, some patients may need brief inpatient rehabilitation before returning home to live independently again. Our comprehensive programs include rehab nursing and occupational, physical and speech therapies. This approach helps residents function better and become independent so they can make a smooth transition to home.
Iroquois staff specializes in pulmonary and cardiac rehabilitation with expertise in treating neurological, orthopedic and medically complex residents. Our staff is trained in all aspects of recovery, including continued care and home safety.
End of life care, circumstances and decisions can be overwhelming for individuals and families. Our Palliative Care unit offers an alternative to continued hospitalization. Our goal is to ensure end of life residents are surrounded with dignity, compassion and comfort. and a sense of security during this difficult time. On this unit, specially trained staff focus on the resident’s physical comfort, with keen attention to pain and symptom control. Emotional, psychological, social and spiritual support is also available to residents and their families.
